Smile Brighter with a CDCP Dentist Near You
Since May 2024, the Canadian dental care plan in Port Coquitlam (CDCP) has been helping Canadians get the dental care they need. If your household earns less than $90,000 a year and you don’t have dental insurance, this plan can make dental treatments much more inexpensive.
At Prime Dental, we’re excited to be part of this program, making it easier for families in our community to access high-quality dental care.
How Does the CDCP Dental Benefit Work?
- No co-payment for lower-income families: If your family’s adjusted annual income is less than $70,000, the CDCP will cover most of your dental costs. You’ll only need to pay the difference between what the CDCP covers and the fees listed in the dental fee guide.
- 40% co-payment for middle-income families: Families earning between $70,000 and $79,999 a year will need to cover 40% of their dental costs. The CDCP takes care of the other 60%.
- 60% co-payment for higher-income families within the limit: If your family’s income falls between $80,000 and $89,999, you’ll be responsible for 60% of the cost, while the CDCP covers the remaining 40%.
Keep in mind that the CDCP doesn’t cover every dental treatment. Before getting any dental work done, it’s a good idea to ask about the costs and what’s included in the plan so there are no surprises.
